Jakarta Wins Overall Winner in 2021 Public Relations Media Award

The Jakarta administration won the overall winner in the 2021 Public Relations Media Award launched by Public Relations Coordinating Board (Bakohumas), Communication and Informatic Ministry. It was held at Murasaka Nusa Dua Hotel, Badung, Bali, on Thursday (11/4) night. The theme taken was Handling Covid-19 and National Economic Recovery.

There were four media categories contested, namely Public Communications, Press Releases, Websites, and Social Media. In this event, the administration won the 1st Best for Public Communication, 1st Best Press Release, 1st Best Website, and 2nd Best Social Media.
Jakarta Diskominfotik's Public Communication Division Head, Nuruning Septarida, expressed her gratitude for this achievement. She admitted, the pandemic did not dampen the administration's commitment to communicating its policies and information to the public.

Information and Public Communication Director General, Usman Kansong revealed, it is an award for the achievements of the government's public relations work, as well as providing space and opportunities for improving the quality of government public relations performance. As known, public relations at the government is a connection of the government to communicate information related to policies, rules, and programs, thus people can apply it in their daily activities.
"We hope it can strengthen the role of the Government's public relations in disseminating information related to the pandemic handling program. Congratulations to the winners and hopefully this achievement can be maintained and the government's public relations performance continues to improve," he expressed.
Each category in the event was judged by Emilia Bassar, Founder and CEO of CPROCOM as the jury of Public Communication; Alfito Deannova, Editor-in-Chief of Detik.com as the jury for Press Releases (Online Media); Wicaksono 'Ndoro Kakung', Social Media Practitioner as jury of Social Media; and Metta Dharmasaputra, Co-Founder and CEO of Katadata as jury of website.
